Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc., Mortgage Bankers
and
Hayhurst Title Services, Inc.

Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc., Mortgage Bankers was formed by its President and CEO Patricia I. Hayhurst in 1987. With 18 Years of personal and business experience in all aspects of real estate lending behind her, Ms. Hayhurst wanted to start a mortgage company that would open doors to not only ideal buyers and investors, but those turned away from more traditional institutions. Working out of her home, Ms. Hayhurst recruited several associates (presently Hayhurst's senior managers) all well known and respected within the industry.

In 1990, Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc. merged with First National Bank of the Florida Keys, forming FirstBancorp Mortgage, Inc. Based on her master thesis at the University of Miami (How to Set up a Mortgage Company for a Commercial Bank) Ms Hayhurst developed all the plans, policies and procedures for the new company. Having established a relationship with Fannie Mae, she grew FirstBancorp's portfolio to more than 52 million in one year. In 1991, with a declining real estate market and rising interest rates, First National Bank decided to close the profitable unit. Ms. Hayhurst quickly re-organized and re-opened Hayhurst and Associates, Inc., Mortgage Bankers by 1992.

In 1994, Ms. Hayhurst opened Hayhurst Title Services, Inc., a separate division. Hayhurst Title accommodates the mortgage company customers and helps them close their loans faster, providing convenient and efficient "at cost" legal services to all of its residential and commercial clients. Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc. later established itself in the quickly growing Miami Lakes area, opening a branch office on Main Street in 1998. In 2004 the Miami Beach branch opened. These offices, like the main office in Coconut Grove, handle all types of mortgage loans, from conventional and FHA to commercial and jumbo residential mortgages. Hayhurst's mission has become defined as the highest quality, local mortgage lender in Florida by providing exceptional personal service and mortgage programs at the best rates. Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc was renamed as of 2001 to more define the business.

Ms. Hayhurst and Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc. have been featured often in the media including the Miami Daily Business Review, Broward Daily Business Review, South Florida Women's Business Journal, The Miami Herald's Business Monday, Latin Finance, Real Estate Finance Today, Miami Today, Coconut Grover, Coconut Grove Times, Biscayne Bay Tribune, and the Coral Gables News. She was a finalist for the 1998 Entrepreneur of the Year, in the finance services category, and The Ernst and Young 1998 Small Business of the Year. October 2002 Ms. Hayhurst was interviewed on NBC's Today Show as a national mortgage refinance expert. In May of 2003 Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc. was named Finalist in South Florida Business Journal's "Business of the Year" award and in December 2003 was the corporate finalist for the Thelma Gibson excellence award for the Women's Chamber of Commerce. In 2004 Patricia won the "City of Hope" South Florida Business Woman award and in April was named "Heavy Hitter in Finance" by the South Florida Business Journal. In 2005 Hayhurst Mortgage was again named in the Business Journal's "Book of Lists" as one of the top 25 largest "women owned companies".

Today, after more than nineteen years, Hayhurst Mortgage, Inc., has originated and closed more than $3 Billion in residential and commercial mortgages and retains approximately $100 million in servicing rights for FNMA and local banks.
